Backover incidents—where a vehicle moving in reverse strikes a person—are a serious but often overlooked safety hazard. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, these incidents claim approximately 292 lives each year in the U.S., which is nearly one fatality every day. Nonprofits are not immune to this hazard and often lack the training resources to prevent these tragedies.
To close this gap, we’ve developed easy to use training resources designed for nonprofit organizations.
The resources include:
A Resources Guide to help trainers facilitate effective delivery
A scripted PowerPoint for consistent messaging
Three short videos (under 3 minutes each)
Hands-on exercises to reinforce learning
A Toolbox Talk for quick safety briefings
Modular, scalable, and practical—these resources empower nonprofits to build a culture of safety and protect the people who make their mission possible.
